Winter Wars Pick-up

Winter pick-up is an opportunity for players to keep their skills up over the winter, or try roller hockey for the first time. Players can play up/down depending on skill level - please contact us for details. These games are casual and teams will be different each week depending on attendance. Registration fees include custom winter jerseys. Full equipment required. $100 to register - 50% off for goalies

Please review details and reminders below:

  • Games dates: Saturdays 12/6-1/31 (except for 12/27)
  • Game times: Elementary 10-11am | Middle/High 11-12pm
  • Location: Douglass Community Center Rink - 405 East Market Street, Leesburg, VA
  • Gear: Reversible winter jerseys will be provided so teams can be adjusted each week, and players must wear all protective gear. 
  • Goalies: We will provide goalie gear for players who are interested in testing their skills. Please arrive 20 minutes early to gear up if your player wants to play goalie.
  • Weather: For player safety, we will reschedule or delay games if the temperature is below 32 degrees and for extreme wind chills. We understand if your child cannot attend based on your comfort level with the weather conditions. We will update you via email and social media by 9am for game changes.
  • Volunteers: We need help on the bench to manage shift changes/balance rink time for all players (BONUS: You get a front row seat!). :) Let us know at the rink if you are interested.
